Wagon Ministry

“We want to see young people who are living at the margin of
the community brought into fellowship with Jesus Christ actively
functioning as thriving parts of His body and the wider community.”

Wagon Ministry has been a part of this community for a little under ten years now. This came from a need for the youth to find something more productive to do than walking the streets. Since then this ministry has become a safe heaven for young adolescents ages 14-25 to openly seek out God’s truth. We are very open with our Christian beliefs, but the focus of Saturday nights is to build long lasting relationships accepting all as they are but always offering another option. We have two foosball tables and a pool table and a basketball hoop where the youth are free to play throughout the night. At 11:00p.m. we have a full meal and a short devotional so that all needs physical, relational, and spiritual needs are met.

Saturday nights: 10:00p.m.-1:00a.m.

Guys Bible study: 12:00p.m. Friday afternoons

Pier Group

“We PROVIDE a safe environment for at-risk youth, grades 5-9 to become PILLARS in the community by PROVIDING mentors and teaching Christian values in order to
PREPARE students to become strong, POSITIVE PEER leaders.”

Pier Group is a local outreach ministry dedicated to reaching middle school age students and offering supportive healthy adult relationships. We present strong Christ centered mentors to walk along side the young adolescent through his/her Christian journey. We offer a safe companion in times of pain, confusion, and happiness. Our final goal is to direct youth into becoming strong PILLARS in their communities.

Monday nights: 5-7 at Mulberry St. United Methodist Church

PB&J Club

“We strive to create a safe, relational environment for children in the Vernon
and Meadow Ridge apartments, grades k-5, where we can teach Christ
and His desire for relationship clearly and creatively.”

PB&J Club is a ministry that was created to give young children a safe and fun place to learn about Jesus and hang out with their friends and build meaningful relationships with caring relational staff. On Wednesday nights in the central complex of the apartments young students learn how to work together on making crafts, relieve some energy learning fun songs and dances for their memory verses or praise songs, and hear creative energetic stories of Jesus and His followers. This ministry is like a year long Vacation Bible School with creative dedicated volunteers that care for youth in a healthy, loving way.

Food 4 Thought

“We transport a safe healthy environment to the Vernon/Meadow Ridge apartment
complex along with food, fun, and games. We also bring encouraging Christian fellowship
for the families while offering a helping hand for those in need.”

Food 4 Thought is a ministry meeting the need of fellowship at the Vernon Ridge and Meadow Ridge Apartment Complex. For four months starting in June and ending in September the church sponsors a cookout and game night for anyone living in the apartments. We encourage families to stay and join in for a great meal and conversation while their children play games and win prizes. We also have a raffle for both the children and adults so come out, make some friends, win some prizes.
