From the Pastor’s Perch

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

We read the following in the Scriptures:

If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, the will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV)

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” (Mark 11:24-25 NIV)

Pray continually. (1 Thessalonians 5:17 NIV)

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of him. (1 John 5:14-15 NIV)

It was John Wesley who said, “Nothing is wrought without prayer!” How true this is. Therefore, I am inviting you to a Special Lenten Series of Midweek Services of Prayer.

This will replace Wednesday Connection; there will be no meal at the church! Eat before you come! Children will have music and activities with Elizabeth and Diane Henwood. Youth will have study and music with Dustin and Elizabeth. Adults will meet in the sanctuary. The schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, February 17th from 6:15 until 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, February 24th from 6:15 until 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 3rd from 6:15 until 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 10th from 6:15 until 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 17th from 6:15 until 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 24th from 6:15 until 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 31st from 6:15 until 7:30 p.m.

[Adults, if you are healthy and dare fast, would you consider combining the spiritual disciplines of prayer and fasting on those days?]

Even if you cannot make the entire services because of your schedule, please come for the time that you can! Thank you.

I am, out on a limb for Jesus,

Pastor Warren
